Instructor & Volunteer, Troy J. Peters, CTS
Video West hired Troy J. Peters, CTS in 2013 to help grow business and get the word out in our community about who we were and why we're different. One of the main beliefs here at Video West is the importance of continuing education and certification. We believe that on-the-job training is an important step in crafting our technicians but so is classroom and lesson-based instruction.
Troy's background began in motion pictures before migrating to show management where he took on the role of managing the AV Company hired to manage his association's dozens of global events. Some in excess of 20,000 attendees and with over 50 breakouts. At this time he pursued his knowledge of technology by becoming a Certified Technology Specialist.
The company culture at Video West is to encourage growth and skill across our entire team and Troy's mentor-ship and speaking abilities fit that culture perfectly. His 3-2-1 teaching technique enforces takeaways for those attending his sessions by building on A-Ha moments and opportunities to share beyond the class.
Troy has given presentations to dozens of universities and professional organizations. He currently sits on the MPI Arizona Chapter Executive Board as the VP of Education, the MPI International Chapter Leadership Advisory Council, and Chairs the Infocomm Item Writing Committee.
